Summer so far...

Here are a few posts about what we have been doing this summer, so far anyway. More fun to come! Scroll down there are about 4 new posts.

Fishing trip

We went fishing on Monday and the kids had so much fun. Well catching Crawdads we couldn't catch any fish so they just caught Craw dads.

Adyson has decided she wants to start blogging but being the mean mom I am I won't let her have her own blog so she is starting to use the family blog so that it is very monitored. This was her fist post. Good Job Addy, happy blogging!

Running with Angels

We ran our 1st 5k a couple of weekends ago, and my little family did so AWESOME! We ran for Daison's sister's baby who did in January of this year, and I'm really glad that we did. It was so cool to see all of the people there running for someone they loved. All of us did really well and I am really proud of every one of them. Now I want to do another one just so that I can see if I can beat my time. I've decided that's how they suck you into running all of these marathons. Because you want to keep running more so that you can see if you can beat all of your previous times.

Yellowstone

After our Bear World excursion we decided since we were so close to Yellowstone we would take the kids to see Old Faithful. It was pretty cold but the kids had fun. We got there just in time to see Old Faithful blow then we went walking around to see everything else. There were tons of buffalo wandering around and the kids thought it was so cool for the first few hours, after a while they wanted to see other animals.

We did see the huge Eagle's nest which was pretty awesome. It was a fun little weekend trip. We decided we need to really go back and stay longer so the kids can experience Yellowstone even more. We can't wait to go back.

Bear World

M My dad took us to Bear World over Adyson's birthday. The kids had a blast! The 3 older kids were able to feed the baby bears (Cameron was too young, maybe next year). They have a lot of stuff for the kids to do there. They rode the rides, there is a petting zoo with deer that the kids can go up to and feed them. I didn't think Cameron would even get near them, but he surprised us and walked up to the doe and gave her a handful of food. There were a couple of fawns there that the kids were able to sit by and get a picture with them.

After the petting zoo we drove our car through the wild bears. There are a lot of wild bears along with wolves, moose, elk, and an albino elk. The kids thought driving through the wild bears was so cool. Adyson was a little nervous when we started she kept saying, "Mom make sure there is no food in the car, I don't want the bears to get in our car to get the food." Finally Daison broke it to her that WE were food. From then on she was nervous that we were going to roll our windows down. Funny girl! It was a lot of fun and I would recommend taking your family there if you get a chance. Thanks Dad for the trip we had a blast!
